Letitia Wright is finally ready to open up about one of the hardest moments in her life — when she first learned of Chadwick Boseman’s death.

Having debuted at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival, the immigration drama “Aisha” starring Letitia Wright (“Black Panther”) and Josh O’Connor (“Challengers”), is finally coming to North American theaters. Distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films and Tubi Films, “Aisha” has been set for a May 10, 2024 release.

Alex Ritman Elliot Page heads to the U.K on Thursday to open the BFI Flare, London’s LGBTQIA+ film festival, for the European premiere of “Close to You.” Written and directed by Dominic Savage (behind the recent acclaimed “I Am…” anthology series that has starred the likes of Kate Winslet and Letitia Wright), the film — which bowed in Toronto — marks Page’s first feature since 2017. It’s a return to the big screen he says “felt amazing,” allowing him to experience the “joy of what it means to get to create and being creative.” It was also an acting experience unlike anything Page had undertaken before, with much of “Close to You” improvised.

We had Letitia Wright, who was this amazing actress and ‘Black Panther’ star, and then we found Tamara,” she said. The story was inspired by real-life identical twins June and Jennifer Gibbons, who only communicated with each other. “They are not that similar, so what do you do? You make a decision. And I knew she was the one, because it was all about this tension between them.”

NAACP Image Awards took place on Saturday night, with Queen Latifah hosting the telecast from Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
