CBS has renewed the hit Friday night drama Fire Country for a third season.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter CBS has renewed the comedy “Ghosts” for Season 4 and the drama “Fire Country” for Season 3. Both shows launched their new seasons in mid-February due to the impact last year’s dual writers’ and actors’ strike had on broadcast production schedules. “’Ghosts’ and ‘Fire Country’ are proven viewer favorites on both broadcast and streaming thanks to exceptional storytelling, talented actors and an ever-growing fan base,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment.

BreAnna Bell Morena Baccarin is set to appear in this upcoming season of “Fire Country” at CBS, Variety has confirmed. The “Deadpool” actress will appear in an upcoming episode of “Fire Country,” guest starring as Sheriff Mickey, but could become a series regular as the Season 2 episode is speculated to set the stage for a potential spinoff series. The episode will air later in the season.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired North American rights to “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe,” a queer coming-of-age story about two teens who form a special bond after a chance meeting one summer. The sale comes a few months after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Blue Fox is planning a wide theatrical release of the film this summer, though the exact date has yet to be determined. Blue Fox’s international division is handling the international sales. “It’s rare when a best-selling book, talented crew, amazing director and cast all come together to create a ‘must see’ film, and we are very proud to bring ‘Aristotle and Dante’ to audiences across the U.S.,” said Blue Fox executive James Huntsman.

Fire Country.Inspired by Thieriot's real-life experiences growing up in Northern California, the series — co-created by the star — follows Bode Donovan (Thieriot), a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining a prison release firefighting program where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish wildfires across the region. Lucifer officially signed off, the Devil has set one last date. Only ET has the exclusive first look at the sixth and final season bloopers, featuring series stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside and Rachael Harris as they enjoy their last weeks on set. The minute-long gag reel opens with Ellis and German in character as Lucifer and Chloe, respectively, as they get into a dramatic headspace for a pivotal scene.
