EXCLUSIVE: Adeola Role (Blue Bloods), Ryan Broussard (Only Murders in the Building) and Graham Verchere (Stargirl) are set as series regulars opposite Dania Ramirez and Scott Caan in Fox’s Alert, a character-driven police procedural from The Blacklist showrunner John Eisendrath and Jamie Foxx, Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment.

Fox is expanding the Season 2 cast for Alert: Missing Persons Unit, from John Eisendrath and Jamie Foxx. Alisha-Marie Ahamed (Family Law) is joining as a new series regular and Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal) has been tapped to heavily recur opposite Scott Caan and Dania Ramirez in the procedural drama.

.The series star helmed Thursday's episode, titled «Wormwood,» which follows Red's attempt to mediate a meeting between two rival families taking a deadly turn. When an elusive criminal is linked to the incident, the Task Force races against time to save Red and his associates.ET exclusively premieres a sneak peek from the episode, which sees Ressler's past resurfacing, including his relationship with the late Liz Keen, as his skeletons come to light.Additionally, ET also debuts exclusive first look photos of Klattenhoff taking charge as director of the episode as he leads his castmates James Spader, Hisham Tawfiq, Anya Banerjee and others on set.NBC announced in February that was ending after the 10th season.«After 10 years, hundreds of Blacklist cases and more than 200 episodes produced, we’re honored to reach our conclusion,” showrunner and executive producer John Eisendrath said at the time.

NBC drama series The Blacklist, now in its 10th and last season, is moving into its final weeks with some changes ahead. Beginning June 1, the show, which currently airs on Sundays at 10 pm, will move to Thursdays. Back-to-back episodes will air that night, June 1, at 8 pm and 9 pm, with subsequent episodes airing weekly at 8 pm.

BreAnna Bell Fox has renewed its dramas “Accused” and “Alert: Missing Persons Unit” for sophomore seasons, to air in 2023-24, Fox Entertainment’s president of scripted programming, Michael Thorn announced on Thursday. Hailing from Howard Gordon, “Accused” opened on a season high note as television’s highest-rated drama debut in two years. In its Jan. 22 premiere, the show registered a 2.5 Live + 35 Day rating and 14.6 multi-platform viewers. To date, the show averages 7.5 million multi-platform viewers, up +126% from its Live + Same Day delivery. “Accused” is based on the BBC’s BAFTA-winning series of the same name. “With ‘Accused,’ Howard Gordon has taken the crime anthology to new heights and acclaim, featuring an all-star roster of directors and talent headlining gripping episodes that entertain viewers with a provocative, fresh take on many of the most relevant, timely issues of our day,” said Thorn in a statement.

Fox is doubling down on a pair of freshman crime dramas.

Fox’s latest foray into the police procedural focuses on the Philadelphia Police Department’s missing person’s unit — telling the stories of all the ways that people might go missing while also diving into the mystery of two officers’ own missing child.

Caan joins previously announced series star Dania Ramirez in the show, which was ordered straight-to-series at Fox back in May. The show follows the officer’s of the missing persons unit in Philadelphia (the show was originally set in Los Angeles but has now shifted East). Caan will play Devon, described as fearless, smart and calm under stress. Devon thrived in the life and death world of war-torn Iraq—until the disappearance of his 11-year-old son brought him rushing back. Six years later, with his son still missing, his marriage over and his personal life a mess, he is asked by his ex, Nikki (Ramirez) — the lead supervisor at the Missing Persons Unit — to help find a young kidnap victim.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Dania Ramirez is poised to take the lead role in the upcoming Fox drama series “Alert,” Variety has learned. The show was ordered to series at the broadcast network in May as part of Fox’ s upfronts presentation to advertisers. Ramirez will star as Nikki, described as a salt-of-the-earth woman whose life was ripped apart six years ago by the disappearance of her 11-year-old son. She found her calling as the head of the Missing Person’s Unit. Her zeal and personal connection to the victims and their families infuses each and every case, and she helps others find their loved ones even as she couldn’t find her own.

Dania Ramirez (Sweet Tooth) has been tapped as the lead in Fox’s Alert, a character-driven police procedural from The Blacklist showrunner John Eisendrath and Jamie Foxx. Written by Eisendrath, Alert is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television, where Eisendrath is under an overall deal, and Fox Entertainment.

FOX Entertainment is taking on 2022 with TV shows on everything from country music to crime and cooking. Charlie Collier, the CEO of FOX Entertainment, detailed what's to come on the network, including the previously announced "Monarch," which will star Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon.  The show is about "three generations of a country music family juggling life's rawest emotions — love and lust, hate and heartache, living in the shadow of your parents and coming-of-age," Collier described before previewing a clip of "Monarch." "MasterChef" Gordon Ramsay is set to debut his new competition show, "Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars," and will also have his series "Next Level Chef" premiere after the Super Bowl next February.  In "Food Stars," Ramsay will front $250,000 of his own cash to find the "next big culinary entrepreneur." The missing persons' drama "tells the story of a high-tech police unit whose job is to find the missing, the abducted or kidnapped and help them reunite with their loved ones before it's too late," Foxx said during the presentation.  FOX is also bringing a crime anthology series titled "Accused." The show hails from the creative minds behind "Homeland" and "24" as well as the creator of "House." Marlee Matlin and Billy Porter will direct the first two episodes.

Fox has rolled out its 2022-2023 programming slate, giving its post- Super Bowl LVII slot to Gordon Ramsay’s “Next Level Chef,” and announcing several news shows for the broadcast network and Tubi. The network doesn’t yet have “9-1-1” and “The Resident” lined up, however, with renewal negotiations still in progress Monday.“We’re in good faith negotiations with 20th [Century Television] and based on our long history with that company we think we’re in pretty good shape,” Charlie Collier, CEO, Fox Entertainment, said on a conference call with reporters Monday.New shows coming to the network are the country music drama “Monarch,” starring Susan Sarandon, Trace Adkins and Anna Friel; crime anthology series “Accused,” from the producers of “Homeland and “House,” and “Alert,” a missing persons drama from Jamie Foxx and John Eisendrath.

The broadcast networks have largely made their new series pickups for next season. The picks include several IP-based shows, ABC’s Rookie spinoff, Quantum Leap for NBC, True Lies for CBS, Supernatural spinoff The Winchesters, Walker: Independence and Gotham Knights. There are also a couple of starring vehicles, ABC’s drama Alaska, which had been set up originally with Hilary Swank as the lead, Max Thieriot’s CBS drama Fire Country, The Rookie: Feds, starring Niecy Nash, and NBC comedy Lopez vs. Lopez with George Lopez. Pending is Fox’s straight-to-series order to John Eisendrath’s missing person procedural drama Alert, which is expected by Monday.  (Fox also has on tap for fall country music dynasty series Monarch left over from this season as well as straight-to-series anthology drama Accused, originally ordered last May.)

Fox, one of the two broadcast networks presenting on the first day of the upfronts Monday, was the last to make cancellation decisions this week, axing freshman comedy Pivoting and drama Our Kind of People Friday night. No announcement has been made yet on Fox’s two other bubble shows, comedies Call Me Kat and Welcome To Flatch. I hear both are being renewed, the latter after strong Season 2 pitch, including cast additions plan, as well as some creative dealmaking from Lionsgate TV.

EXCLUSIVE: The Blacklist showrunner John Eisendrath is extending his relationship with Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind the long-running NBC drama. He has signed a new three-year overall deal with Sony TV through 2025.

 season 8 premiere doubled down on Elizabeth Keen's allegiance to her mother, Katarina Rostova, as she chose to go all-in on her betrayal of Raymond Reddington and her closest friends at the Task Force — even after discovering that her mom wasn't all that trustworthy to begin with. On Friday's season opener, which carried over storylines that were left unfinished due to the pandemic, Liz conned everyone in her inner circle as she began to embrace her dark side amid her search for the truth.

When the coronavirus pandemic forced to shut down production in the middle of episode 19, the NBC crime thriller was presented with a decision to make: end season 7 abruptly or step outside their comfort zone. Producers opted to go with the latter, creating an ambitious hybrid episode featuring live-action footage and graphic novel-style animation.
