Pearl Jam have announced a number of new additions to their BST Hyde Park shows next month.The gigs on July 8 and 9 will be the band’s biggest ever London shows. Pearl Jam were originally due to headline BST Hyde Park in 2021 alongside Duran Duran but the event was cancelled as a result of the COVID pandemic.Newly announced support acts for the shows include October Drift, Fatherson, LIFE and Daytime TV on July 8.

Sinead O’Connor’s daughter performed an emotional cover of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ during a tribute show in the US last night (March 20) – watch the footage below.The special concert, which was announced in January, took place at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Dubbed ‘Sinéad & Shane At Carnegie Hall’, the event was held in memory of O’Connor and the late Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan – both of whom died last year.As the Independent reports, “the closing suite of songs” included a moving rendition of O’Connor’s classic 1990 single ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ by her 28-year-old daughter Roisin Waters.She appeared barefoot on stage and was backed by a live band.

This Morning was brutally snubbed at the TV Choice Awards, following a difficult year for ITV's flagship daytime series. The programme lost out on the gong for Best Daytime Show at Monday's event, 12 February – which instead went to a rival series, BBC TV's Animal Park, hosted by Kate Humble and Ben Fogle.This Morning faced controversy last May when Philip Schofield stepped down after confessing to a secret affair with a younger colleague. Eric Clapton, Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett, Rod Stewart, Johnny Depp and Aerosmith‘s Joe Perry were among the musicians who came together to pay tribute to the late Jeff Beck at two special concerts last week (May 22-23).Beck died suddenly in January at the age of 78 after he contracted bacterial meningitis.The ensemble of musicians took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall to perform material and covers that Beck himself played throughout his lifetime. Among the highlights were a cover of John Lennon‘s ‘Isolation’ performed by Hammett, Depp and ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, in tribute to Beck and Deep’s take on the song that was released in 2022.

Johnny Depp swapped Cannes for London on Monday when he took to the stage to celebrate his late friend Jeff Beck at the Royal Albert Hall. Last week, the 59-year-old actor opened Cannes Film Festival with his film Jeanne du Barry but last night was in full musician mode while honouring Beck at the tribute show, who died ‘suddenly’ in January after contracting bacterial meningitis aged 78. Taking to the stage in a white shirt, hat, and sunglasses, Oscar-nominated Depp even addressed those in the audience directly as they cheered him on, telling them: ‘Bless your hearts, this is a beautiful turnout for Mr Jeff.

Eric Clapton has announced a pair of Jeff Beck tribute concerts at the Royal Albert Hall – find all the details below.The special shows are due to take place at the historic London venue on May 22 and 23, and will “honour the memory and artistry” of Beck, who died suddenly on January 10 aged 78.Clapton is set to be joined at the gigs by a host of “colleagues and friends”, including Johnny Depp, Rod Stewart, Imelda May, Gary Clark Jr and Joss Stone. Also scheduled to appear are Rhonda Smith, Anika Nilles and Robert Stevenson from Jeff Beck’s live band.Per a press release, surplus income from the two concerts will be donated to Folly Wildlife Rescue in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.The final list of artists will be finalised.

Stereophonics and Cat Power are among the new support acts that have been announced for Pearl Jam‘s pair of Hyde Park shows this summer.Pearl Jam will play at the BST Hyde Park series in central London on July 8 and 9, with Pixies already set to support the band on the opening night.This morning (February 24) BST Hyde Park announced a host of support acts for both shows. Cat Power, White Reaper, The Murder Capital, The Glorious Sons, Simon Townshend, La Luz, Sick Joy and Dream Nails will all play on July 8 prior to Pearl Jam’s headline slot.Stereophonics lead the support acts on July 9, with Imelda May, The Last Internationale, La Luz, JJ Wilde and The Wild Things also set to perform.More artists are due to be announced for both line-ups in the coming weeks and months.
