The Arrowverse on The CW was once one of the most popular franchises on television, but most of the shows are now canceled or ended.

EXCLUSIVE: This is a rare occurrence in the current strike-impacted broadcast season — a scripted series getting an order for additional episodes. According to sources, the CW‘s flagship drama All American is having its current sixth season extended from 13 episode to 15 episodes.

Fly Me to the Moon is coming soon!

Originally titled “Project Artemis,” Apple Studios’ original space-race rom-com is now known as “Fly Me To The Moon.” Directed by Greg Berlanti (“Love, Simon,” and the overseer of the CW’s Arrowverse), the 1960s space film star Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. Not much has been known about the movie until today, but today, Apple’s distributor, Sony Pictures, released the first trailer for the film, pulling back some of the curtain and details.

Caroline Brew editor Sony and Apple have released the first trailer for “Fly Me to the Moon,” a romantic comedy starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, which is set to premiere on July 12. The film is set against the 1960s space race and features Johansson as a marketing exec hired by NASA to film a fake moon landing in case the real mission fails. Apple won the project in a $100 million deal following a bidding war in 2022, and the project was formerly known as “Project Artemis.” Chris Evans was first set to play Tatum’s role, while Oscar nominee Johansson — who also produces — has been attached to the film since its inception.

Selome Hailu Netflix has released a trailer for “Dead Boy Detectives,” the upcoming series following the Neil Gaiman-created comic book characters of the same name. The series centers Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), who helm the Dead Boy Detectives agency. Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts who solve mysteries.

UPDATED 7 AM: Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Dead Boy Detectives ahead of its April 25 premiere. “Welcome to the Dead Boy Detective Agency,” the trailer begins. “We help ghosts resolve their mysteries. Ghosts who cannot let go.”

EXCLUSIVE: In a competitive situation, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television have acquired the rights to Matthew Blake‘s debut crime thriller novel Anna O. The series adaptation is in the process of being set up at Netflix for development, sources tell Deadline.

EXCLUSIVE: NBC‘s Found is adding Dionne Gipson (Dream Girls) to its Season 2 cast. She will recur as a character who is close to Gabi (Shanola Hampton).

The Inclusion List for episodic programming, which recognizes the most inclusive series in broadcast, cable and streaming. Following a similar effort for films, the list analyzes on-screen and behind-the-camera personnel from more than 500 programs to determine the 100 most inclusive broadcast and cable series from the 2021-22 broadcast season, as well as streaming series from 2021 to 2023.

Formerly known as “Project Artemis,” it’s set to screen in premium large formats with Columbia Pictures distributing. Meanwhile, the George Clooney-Brad Pitt starrer “Wolfs,” also from Apple Original Films, will open Sept.

We told you first that Sony won the theatrical distribution deal to handle Apple Original Films Jon Watts’ directed George Clooney and Brad Pitt thriller Wolfs, as well as the Greg Berlanti directed Scarlett Johansson-Channing Tatum movie Project Artemis (title forthcoming). We heard they were getting 2024 release dates and well, here they are: the latter will bow in theaters on July 12 next year while Wolfs hits theaters on Sept. 20.

Selome Hailu NBC has renewed both of its freshman dramas, “Found” and “The Irrational,” for second seasons. “Found,” which premiered on Oct. 3, follows Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton), a public relations specialist and former kidnapping victim whose crisis management team searches for people who have gone missing.

NBC is making some early renewals.

As initially reported in May 2022, the project is currently set up at Max with a script-to-series commitment. It is being developed as a one-hour drama series via Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros.

It’s official. DC drama Dead Boy Detectives is set at Netflix. Originally ordered to series at HBO Max, Dead Boy Detectives, based on the DC Comics characters created by Neil Gaiman, will launch on the streamer. A premiere date is TBD. Netflix also released a teaser trailer, which will be available shortly.
