The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has vastly changed how movies and television shows are shot, from rigorous testing and on-set social distancing protocols. But “The Guilty” director Antoine Fuqua has set a new bar — he and his star Jake Gyllenhaal never met in person during production.

Making a movie in the middle of a pandemic was a tough job.

Thankfully, director Antoine Fuqua and actor Jake Gyllenhaal have a history of collaboration. The two worked together on the 2015 boxing drama, “Southpaw,” and it’s that friendship and bond that they formed during that shoot that made the incredibly difficult production of their latest collab, “The Guilty,” even work.

Manori Ravindran International EditorParamount Pictures’ Mark Wahlberg-fronted sci-fi thriller “Infinite” will land on streaming service Paramount Plus in key international markets.The film, directed by Antoine Fuqua, will debut on the service in Canada, Latin America, the Nordics and Australia on Aug. 11.

Sensmeier has also recurred opposite Kevin Costner on Paramount Network’s Yellowstone. Other credits include Taylor Sheridan’s Wind River, opposite Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen, and in HBO’s Westworld. Prior to that, he also appeared opposite Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke in the Antoine Fuqua-directed MGM tentpole The Magnificent Seven.

Paramount+ has officially entered the streaming wars with “Infinite.” The Mark Wahlberg-led movie was initially meant to release in theaters. But Paramount Plus has since snatched it up, hoping it’ll launch them to the ranks of streaming services like Netflix or HBO Max.
