'Ted Lasso': What the Cast and Creators Have Said About a Possible Season 4 or Spinoff Series

took its final bow on Wednesday, as the series finale found Jason Sudeikis' titular coach on a plane back home to Kansas, and the rest of its main characters on new journeys of their own.But is this the end of the road for the AFC Richmond Greyhounds? Sudeikis and the show's cast and creators have long insisted that the show was always planned as a three-season run. But that was before they dominated the Emmys' comedy categories two years in a row and became one of the most beloved streaming series.Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent on the Apple TV+ soccer comedy in addition to writing on the show, told the  last summer that, as far as the writers are concerned, the third season would be the show's last.«We are writing it like that.

'Ted Lasso' Star Phil Dunster on the Series Finale and Jamie Tartt's Emotional Evolution (Exclusive)

ended its acclaimed three-season run on Wednesday with Jason Sudeikis' titular coach returning home to Kansas, though it's safe to say that none of the show's beloved characters ended up in the same place they were when the series began.None more so, perhaps, than Jamie Tartt, played by Phil Dunster, whose emotional evolution over the course of the Emmy-winning comedy has made him a fan favorite. The star striker of AFC Richmond, Jamie was a prototypical diva in season 1, though Ted's kind and gentle coaching style began to break him down.

MoviePass Launches Nationwide at 4,000-Plus Theaters

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor It’s back! MoviePass, after emerging from bankruptcy under new ownership, is launching its movie-theater subscription service nationwide ahead of the Memorial Day weekend. The service lets MoviePass members choose from more than 4,000 theater locations across the U.S., including those operated by AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas and Cinemark. However, the reincarnated MoviePass is a far cry from the too-good-to-be-true $9.95-per-month subscription for one movie per day that the company had offered in its previous life. Plans start at $10/month for 1-3 movies per month, ranging up to $40/month for up to 30. The new MoviePass uses a credit-based system to offer different options for the total amount of films a subscriber can see each month (see plan details below).

‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Review: Martin Scorsese’s Searing Drama Bursts Open a Devastating Chapter of U.S. History

“Killers of the Flower Moon” is vast and vital in its scale, purpose and emotional scope, a Western-thriller and ensemble piece that is every bit a Scorsese crime picture as one can dare to imagine. The impeccably researched book by Grann (also the author of “The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon”) neither tells a customary frontier-era tale about this land’s indigenous people (which has been the more traditional avenue in cinema) nor features a stock white savior. Grann instead recounts a shockingly lesser known and shattering true-story from early 20th-century Oklahoma.

Katie Reul editor In the final moments of this week’s “Weekend Update” segment on “Saturday Night Live,” co-anchor Michael Che used the sketch show’s platform to address recent legislation in Republican-dominated states like Florida, Kansas and Missouri, which would heavily restrict gender-affirming healthcare for transgender kids. “Since the start of this year, over 400 anti-LGBTQ bills have been introduced across the country, many of which directly target trans youth,” Che said, taking on a more serious tone. “Here to talk about it is someone with their own introduction.” “Introducing ‘SNL’s’ first non-binary cast-member,’ a disembodied voice foreshadowed as featured player Molly Kearney was lowered from the ceiling on ropes, clad in a vibrant purple jumpsuit. “This harness is pretty tight and my groin area is beefed,” Kearney joked about the strappy contraption. “I have been hung up on my genitals for far too long, and I’m starting to feel like a freaking Republican lawmaker.”

amend the gender marker on their birth certificates.Kansas House members included provisions in the bill requiring accommodations for intersex people or those born with chromosomes, genitalia, or reproductive organs not associated with typical definitions for males or females. Supporters of the measure dubbed it a “Women’s Bill of Rights,” arguing that there is a need for single-sex spaces for females. The bill’s verbiage was based on boilerplate language circulated by national anti-transgender groups who have pushed for similar measures in Congress or other states. The measure passed the Kansas Senate by a vote of 28-12 on Tuesday, April 4, after passing the House of Representatives last month by a vote of 83-41, with one conservative Republican House member absent.
