Even though anyone familiar with the original “Toxic Avenger” film from 1984 would find it strange that a studio is interested in rebooting the franchise, the allure of a superhero IP that hasn’t been mined is too strong for Hollywood to pass up. So, it was announced more than a year ago that “The Toxic Avenger” is getting remade.

The architect of rock-and-roll itself left the building when Little Richard died at 87 from bone cancer at his home in Nashville Saturday morning.

Little Richard, the godfather of rock 'n roll who entertained audiences for more than seven decades with hits that include “Tutti Fruti,” “Good Golly Miss Molly,” “Lucille” and “Long Tally Sally,” has died. He was 87.

One of the most iconic music artists to ever exist has passed away. Little Richard (real name Richard Wayne Penniman) died Saturday, May 9, according to his rep Danny Penniman.

One of the original architects of rock ‘n roll, Little Richard has passed away at age 87. The music icon’s son, Danny Penniman, confirmed the sad news to Rolling Stone, but said the cause of death wasn’t known.
