PVRIS have announced a 2024 UK, US and EU tour set to kick off in April.The tour is in support of the band’s latest release ‘Evergreen’. Kicking off on April 24 in Hanover, the band – comprised of vocalist Lynn Gunn and bassist Brian MacDonald – will make stops in cities such as Hamburg, Berlin, Warsaw, Brussels, Prague, Vienna, Milan, Cologne, Paris, Manchester, Glasgow, and Birmingham.

The Last Dinner Party have been announced as the winners of the prestigious BRITs Rising Star award supported by BBC Radio 1.The band – comprised of Abigail Morris, Lizzie Mayland, Emily Roberts, Georgia Davies and Aurora Nishevci – were revealed as the winner of the award by Clara Amfo on her BBC Radio 1 Future Sounds show.The Rising Star prize recognises British artists who had not achieved a top 20 album, or more than one top 20 single by October 31 of this year. IDLES have announced a massive world tour and shared details of upcoming shows set for Spring 2024.The band shared the details for their 2024 European gigs previously, and have now announced a run of dates that will see them make stops in the US, UK, Ireland and Mexico.March 2024 will see IDLES make their way through Europe with stops in major cities such as Milan, Paris, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Prague and more, before closing with remaining stops in Germany and Sweden. In May, the band will head out to the United States and play a handful of shows in Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, Oakland, San Fransisco, Houston, Dallas, Orlando, and New Orleans.From there, they will travel to the UK to play shows in Cardiff, Halifax, Margate and Cornwall during the month of July.

Naman Ramachandran Netflix has acquired Indonesian filmmaker Yosep Anggi Noen’s festival favorite film “24 Hours with Gaspar.” Adapted from a detective novel of the same title that was published in 2017 by Sabda Armandio, “24 Hours with Gaspar” follows the life of private detective Gaspar, who has only 24 hours to live. He discovers clues leading to the mysterious disappearance of Kirana, a childhood friend, and later to Wan Ali, who’s involved in a human trafficking syndicate.

Christopher Vourlias Slovak directors Ivan Ostrochovsky and Pavol Pekarčík’s Ukraine war drama “Photophobia,” which won the Europa Cinemas Label Award after its Venice Days premiere and is Slovakia’s entry in the best international feature film Oscar race, has been acquired by Prague-based sales agent Filmotor. Set on a cold February morning in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, “Photophobia” follows 12-year-old Niki and his family as they arrive at the Kharkiv metro station to take shelter from the terrifying war raging outside.

Lauren Mayberry covered The 1975‘s ‘Paris’ during her show in Paris last night (October 15).The Chvrches’ frontwoman performed the song – lifted from the band’s 2016 ‘I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It’ – at the La Maroquinerie towards the end of her set.Much like the original track, Mayberry performed it at the same gentle tempo. EastEnders fans will remember the face of bad boy Dean Wicks, played by Matt Di Angelo, who was caught up in some brutal storylines during his time on the BBC soap.
