Mogwai have shared a soaring new single called ‘Boltfor’ – listen to it below.Released today (Apri 26), ‘Boltfor’ was “initially recorded during the sessions for ‘As The Love Continues’ at Vada Studios” according to a statement, “and then completed at the band’s very own Castle of Doom studios in March 2022.”Speaking about the song’s accompanying video, director Sam Wiehl said: “The video is a visual metaphor for the constant movement in life and the unceasing urge to move forward as individuals…in the form of a metaphysical road movie.”Watch the video below:The band will soon begin their European and UK tour in Copenhagen on April 30, heading to London’s Alexandra Palace on May 27. Brass Against have been reminded that they’re performing in a “no pee zone” on their current European tour with Tool.Last November, footage emerged of Brass Against singer Sophia Urista urinating on a willing fan’s face during the band’s set at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida.It was subsequently reported that local police were investigating the incident, as Urista may have broken indecent exposure laws. The group were also permanently banned from the venue in question (via Consequence).Later, the frontwoman issued an apology on social media and claimed that she’s “not a shock artist”.

Tool have released a reimagined version of their 1992 single ‘Opiate’.The reworked track, which is officially titled ‘Opiate²’, comes ahead of an accompanying short film that’s released on Blu-ray on March 18.‘Opiate²’ will soundtrack a 10-plus minute short film created by visual artist Dominic Hailstone and guitarist Adam Jones. The disc also features “interviews and insights from special guests” and will come with a 46-page art book with behind-the-scenes photos.The biggest difference between the original song and the reimagined version is structural, with an extended section allowing drummer Danny Carey to hit his skins for longer.

Nick Cave exhibition Stranger Than Kindness is set to receive its North American premiere in Montreal in April.The exhibition, which is offering “an unprecedented look into the creative world” of the Bad Seeds musician, was designed in collaboration with Cave and previously opened in Copenhagen, Denmark in March 2020.Stranger Than Kindness: The Nick Cave Exhibition will now take up residence at the Galerie de la Maison du Festival in Montreal, Canada on April 8, and will be on display there until August 7.“With more than 300 objects collected or created by Nick Cave through six decades of his creative and private life brought together in large-scale installations, the exhibition is an artwork in itself,” a description for Stranger Than Kindness reads.
