BBC The One Show star Adrian Chiles heartbroken as he reveals father's 'shocking' death

Adrian Chiles has shared his heartbreak after his father passed away.The TV presenter revealed his dad Peter Chiles died age 86 in early March in a tear-jerking column for The Guardian. Adrian, 56, who formerly hosted BBC's The One Show, explained that his father has suffered a fall and fractured his shoulder on 20 January. Having been discharged from A&E, a few days later he was taken to a "rural community hospital" and passed away six weeks later on 9 March.

El Viaje Films, has moved into production on “La Lucha,” a feature film set against the background of lucha canaria wrestling, a contact sport dating back to ancient times. “La Lucha” marks the latest title from Tenerife-based El Viaje Films, behind 2015 international breakout “Dead Slow Ahead,” “Undergrowth” which took two prizes at this month’s Malaga Festival, the standout 2021 “They Carry Death,” selected for Venice’s Critics Week, as well as serving as the Spanish producer on Chile’s Oscar entry “White on White,” a 2019 Venice Horizons best film and director entry. Just a decade back, “La Lucha’s” shoot would have been notable for its very existence.

Covering Malaga’s Work in Progress showcase, its Málaga Festival Fund Co-Production forum (MAFF) and the Spanish Screenings Content – Málaga Short Corner, prizes were divvied up among a slew of titles, with ‘Sometimes,’ by Sara Fantova and Enrique Buleo’s ‘Still Life With Ghosts,’ both scoring multiple awards. From his first feature, 2015’s “La Salada,” a patchwork narrative tale of immigrants’ lives, dreams and suffering in Argentina, to 2021’s “La Luna Reprenta Mi Corazon,” a docu feature record of the rencounter with his mother in Taiwan, Hsu has carved out a niche depicting the immigrant experience in Argentina.
