A woman has been found dead in a Glasgow street. Cops swooped on Edinbeg Place, in the Toryglen area, at around 7.45am on Saturday.
Officers locked down the scene as the body of a 34-year-old was discovered. Locals reports seeing a heavy police presence in the area for several hours afterwards.
The force have launched a probe into the woman's death, however, there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Edinbeg Place, Glasgow, around 7.45am on Saturday, 14 January, 2023, following the death of a 34-year-old woman.
"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
