Another season of Love Island is set to soon draw to a close, with the final of the winter 2023 series scheduled to air on Monday 13 January. Just four couples are left in the villa and one pairing will be crowned the winners of the series, with viewers asking to vote for either Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi or Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad.
Host Maya Jama, 28, will present the Love Island final live from the villa in South Africa, where she will reveal which couple will be taking home the prize fund of £50,000. According to MailOnline, ITV bosses have confirmed the prize fund for the 2023 series is £50,000.The amount has remained the same since Love Island launched on ITV back in 2015.
However, it is unknown whether the famous 'Split or Steal' twist will make a comeback at the 2023 finale, with the option scrapped for the first time in 2022. In previous series, the winning couple would have to pick an envelope each, with one containing £50,000 while the other was empty. The person who picked the envelope with the money inside would then have to choose whether they wanted to split the prize fund with their partner or steal the entire sum.
At the 2022 final, winning couple Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti weren't asked whether they wanted to Split or Steal, instead they automatically were awarded £25,000 each.
