Dancing on Ice has officially confirmed the line-up for the final of the popular ITV skating show, after a brutal double dumping on Sunday evening saw fans bid goodbye to two of their beloved stars. The ice-skating competition returned for the semi-finals with This Morning icons Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield once again hosting ringside, as The Vivienne, Joey Essex, Nile Wilson, Siva Kaneswaran and Mollie Gallagher duked it out for a place in the final.
The remaining five celebrities were tasked with performing twice this week, as they fought long and hard for a place in next week’s coveted final, all while hoping to earn the approval of judges Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean - but perhaps most importantly, also the approval of the voting public at home. After a hard fought battle that saw all five contestants pour their heart and soul into their performances, it was Siva and Mollie that were ultimately sent home. The brutal double elimination comes just one week on from Carley Stenson’s departure which saw the Hollyoaks star break down in tears as her time in the contest came to an end.
The much loved actress became emotional last week, after missing out on a place in this week's semi-final episode while also touchingly admitting she would “miss” her pro partner. She told hosts Holly and Phillip last weekend: “It just got harder.
I'm gonna miss this man. I've really enjoyed it, this is all a bit of a blur actually.” The former West End star landed in the skate-off against Siva Kaneswaran and his partner Klabera Komini last week, but failed to impress the judging panel. They performed a toe tapping routine to Celeste hit Stop This Flame, but sadly all four judges opted to send The Wanted
