Zack Sharf Digital News Director Tenoch Huerta, best known worldwide for playing the villainous Namor in Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” is firing back against a sexual assault allegation made against him by musician María Elena Ríos. In a statement sent to Variety and published on his Instagram, Huerta called Ríos’ claims “false and completely unsubstantiated,” adding, “I cannot let it go unchallenged any longer.”“About a year ago, I dated Elena for several months,” Huerta wrote. “It was entirely consensual at all times, as countless others can attest. And throughout it was a loving, warm and mutually supportive relationship. After it ended, however, Elena began to misrepresent our interactions both privately and in front of groups of mutual friends.”

Tupac Shakur received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday 7 June, with the hip-hop legend posthumously honoured days before his birthday. The late rapper’s sister, Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, accepted the star on behalf of their family and shed tears while describing her older brother’s vision of being celebrated with a star in Hollywood.

Tupac Shakur had a complicated legacy as he rose to fame as a rapper and actor. Throughout his life, his ambitions warred with his personal struggles as his portrayal in the media fought to outshine his rising star onscreen. Since his death, many have tried to encapsulate how his legendary music career and passion for acting influenced hip-hop long after he died. Earlier this year, Allen Hughes'  -- a five-part series co-produced by Interscope Records which premiered on FX on April 21 — offered the story of Tupac's life and career through the story of his mother, Afeni Shakur, who oversaw her son's estate until her death in 2016. And on Wednesday, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce offered its own contribution to his legacy by honoring the late artist with the 2,758th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Tupac's sister, Sekyiwa «Set» Shakur, accepted the award in her late brother's honor during a ceremony hosted by radio personality Big Boy. The ceremony was also attended by Hughes and Jamal Joseph, the producer of  Compton rapper YG and members of Shakur's Outlawz group. «Tupac Shakur was a rapper, actor, activist, poet, and revolutionary.

Nearly 30 years after his shooting death at age 25, rapper and actor Tupac Shakur was honoured with his own posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

McKinley Franklin editor Barry Newman, the Emmy-nominated actor who starred in the 1971 cult action thriller “Vanishing Point” and as the eponymous lawyer in the NBC series “Petrocelli,” died on May 11. He was 92. No further details are currently available on his death. In “Vanishing Point,” Newman played former race car driver Kowalski, a speedster that darts around in a Dodge Challenger after becoming entangled in a criminal conspiracy. The film is regarded as one of the defining American action films of the ’70s by genre enthusiasts. Two decades and change later, Newman would play a heavy in Steven Soderbergh’s fractured crime yarn “The Limey,” which featured a second act car chase involving the actor getting back behind the wheel.

McKinley Franklin editor Sergio Calderón, a longtime actor who appeared in films including “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” and “Men in Black,” died Wednesday of pneumonia. He was 77. Calderón’s representative, Julie Smith, confirmed his death to the LA Times on Thursday. Calderón appeared in the 1997 film “Men in Black,” where he played the floating head on a pole carried by an alien that Tommy Lee Jones’s Agent K reveals, earning him the nickname “Head on a Stick.” Calderón was born in Mexico, where attended the Instituto Andrés Soler of the Asociación Nacional de Actores. While he was working as an English teacher, he broke into the film industry with a role in “The Bridge in the Jungle” which starred John Huston. In “Under the Volcano,” directed by Huston, he played one of the murderers.

Everwood has died at the age of 79. Beasley, who appeared in dozens of films dating back to the 1980s, died Tuesday (30 June) after a “brief and unexpected illness” at a hospital in his hometown of Omaha, his manager, Don Spradlin, said. The actor played an assistant coach in the 1993 football film Rudy and a retired preacher in 1997’s The Apostle, co-starring and directed by Robert Duvall.

One week before what would have been his 52nd birthday, the Hollywood Walk of Fame will honour Tupac Shakur with a coveted star.

Twitter, they said, “For the record, Tupac was selected in 2013, and we have been waiting for his family/estate to set a date.” Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur, Tupac’s sister, will accept the honor on behalf of Tupac, who was shot and killed in 1996. Noted Los Angeles radio host Big Boy will emcee the ceremony.
