DC Studios co-head James Gunn is back on Twitter replying to fans and this time he is talking about Superman. The tweets come after news broke that Patty Jenkin’s version of Wonder Woman 3 was not moving forward and that Henry Cavill’s reprisal of the Man of Steel might not be happening.

Superman is a huge priority, if not the biggest priority.”Yes of course.

Yesterday’s DC chaos about the unplugging of Patty Jenkins’ version of Wonder Woman 3 coupled with rampant rumors of the studio’s new co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran turning the comic book label upside down sans a Henry Cavill Man of Steel 2 and possible re-casting of many current big superhero roles has left the town with a bad case of PTSD.

Yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter broke a lot of news about the DCU‘s future, with multiple bombshells in the mix about a drastic full reset for the franchise. The biggest one?  Patty Jenkins‘ “Wonder Woman 3” is dead, and it’s possible “Man Of Steel 2” may get the ax, too.

DC Fans got a lot of shocking news yesterday about the DCEU‘s future. In short, there may be a massive, drastic reset for the brand on the horizon, with some upcoming films now scrapped.  Patty Jenkins‘ “Wonder Woman 3“? Dead.

In the first big bold move by the new heads of DC, James Gunn and Peter Safran, Deadline has confirmed that they’ve put the kibosh on Patty Jenkins’ treatment of Wonder Woman 3. The filmmaker was expected to hand in a screenplay we understand, and instead the new bosses got pieces of paper which just weren’t suitable.

James Gunn’s swan song as writer/director of the Guardians of the Galaxy series took another step forward today, as the trailer for Vol. 3 was previewed at CCXP22 In São Paulo, Brazil.

It’s been a busy couple of years for writer-director James Gunn. After turning the crew of the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies into bonafide stars of the Marvel universe, Gunn was fired from the series, only to bring his superhero know-how to Warner Bros for “The Suicide Squad” and its popular HBO Max spinoff series, “Peacemaker.” But after a reconciliation with Marvel, Gunn is finally bringing his space trilogy to a close with “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

Of course, this wouldn’t be a “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie without a supersized threat. And this entry has a pair of them: Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), a super-being created by Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) to go after the Guardians and the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), a mad scientist responsible for the creation of Rocket (Bradley Cooper).

Asher Angel, star of Shazam!, is hopeful about the storytelling of the DC Extended Universe now that James Gunn and Peter Safran are the new co-chairmen of DC Studios.

James Gunn revealed on Twitter today in response to a fan’s question that he and new DC Studios co-head Peter Safran are planning to reveal their new DC plan to the Warner Discovery team in the next two months.
