‘The Gentlemen’: Giancarlo Esposito, Kaya Scodelario, Vinnie Jones & More Join Guy Ritchie’s Upcoming Netflix Series

We’re getting the first behind-the-scenes look at Kaleidoscope (fka Jigsaw), Netflix’s upcoming heist drama anthology series from Eric Garcia and Ridley Scott, starring Giancarlo Esposito, Rufus Sewell, Paz Vega among others. The clip features cast and creatives from the series, which is set to premiere January 1, 2023 on Netflix.

Guy Ritchie is set to reunite with longtime collaborator Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch) in Netflix’s The Gentlemen, a TV series inspired by Ritchie’s 2019 Miramax film. Jones joins the cast alongside Kaya Scodalerio (Crawl), Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), Daniel Ings (I Hate Suzie), Joely Richardson (Lady Chatterley’s Lover) and Peter Serafinowicz (The Tick).

Guy Ritchie To Receive Honorary Award At Red Sea Film FestivalGuy Ritchie is to receive an Honorary Award at this year’s Red Sea Film Festival. During the Festival (Dec 1—10), Ritchie will also take part in an ‘In Conversation’ event where he will talk through his cinematic career. Mohammed Al Turki, CEO of the RedSeaIFF, said: “Guy Ritchie is a pioneering director and unique storyteller. Over the last 20 years, he has created a huge variety of unforgettable characters featuring original and intricate plots on the big screen. We are delighted to honor his extraordinary talents at the Festival and look forward to welcoming him to Jeddah this December.”

Maybe no one remembers anymore because it came out right before the COVID-19 pandemic took over the world, but “The Gentlemen” was a big hit for Guy Ritchie. It made $115 million at the box office, off a $22 million budget, did well with critics, and showcased a big jump in Ritchie’s screenwriting abilities.  Miramax loved it, too, so much so that they started developing a spinoff TV series in October 2022, which Netflix involved themselves in earlier this year.

Theo James is set to lead Netflix’s The Gentlemen, based on the Guy Ritchie film of the same name, Deadline has learned. Production begins next in London next week.

Ever since Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland” became a billion-dollar box office hit, one of Walt Disney Pictures’ main goals has been to make live-action adaptations of all their animated classics for a new generation of kids and families. And so far, it’s been mostly working.
