Susanna Reid has confirmed that she hosted her last episode of Good Morning Britain on Wednesday (May 24) as she heads off on a break. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV news programme alongside Richard Madeley when she made the announcement.
After his segment on The Little Mermaid, entertainment editor Richard Arnold cheekily said to Susanna: "Oh look at you - someone's going on half term."
To which the 52-year-old slowly responded: "I can confirm I am off today. Leaving it in your capable hands," before she quipped to to showbiz aficionado Richard: "No more interruptions during your segment."

Richard laughed and continued to give updates on The Little Mermaid, which hits the big screen this Friday (May 26), before moving on to a segment on Tom Hanks.
He discussed claims that Tom Hanks was looking "grumpy" on the red carpet and explained that it was revealed by someone in attendance that he was merely struggling to hear.
As they dissected the photos, Susanna wanted to jump in and say something but asked permission beforehand having already interrupted her co-star.
She said: "Can I just make a point?", prompting Richard to say: "Yes you can interrupt now." Susanna went on: "Thank you, it won't happen for another 10 days."
She then assessed the photos which saw Tom holding a fist in one snap, but in another the fist had his thumb pointing in the other direction as if he was pointing at a place to ask if he should be there, resulting in Susanna saying: "See, you can tell a different story by a different angle. The camera never lies but as we know it's exactly where you sit."
