Suede and Manic Street Preachers announce co-headline shows in Japan

The show, which introduced Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, Miranda Hobbes and Samantha Jones, as they navigated the dating New York dating scene, first aired on June 6, 1998. It ran until 2004 and spawned two feature films released in 2008 and 2010 as well as recent spin-off series, And Just Like That.

Among the highlights were a cover of John Lennon‘s ‘Isolation’ performed by Hammett, Depp and ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, in tribute to Beck and Deep’s take on the song that was released in 2022.

Pulp have announced a surprise run of UK shows in the coming months, taking place in Manchester and London. Steve Albini has spoken to NME about his time recording Nirvana‘s ‘In Utero’ – as well as working with the “smart, unpretentious, and really funny” Manic Street Preachers.Speaking from his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago, the outspoken Albini – who has also worked on cult and classic records by Pixies, Breeders, Yourcodenameis:milo, Slint and PJ Harvey – said that being forever associated with Nirvana due his work on their 1993 final album ‘In Utero‘ was no albatross.“It’s totally normal, it’s perfectly reasonable,” the producer and audio engineer told NME. “If you had never heard of me before and someone is trying to introduce me to you, they are going to name the famous records that I worked on – and ‘In Utero’ is the most famous.”Albini said that working on the follow-up to the internationally successful ‘Nevermind’ was “fairly normal”, though he ensured that all knowledge of the sessions were kept secret.“There wasn’t anything out of the ordinary about the sessions,” he said.

Eurovision Legacy gigs across the UK.The initiative was launched with a special free concert for 15,000 people in the Eurovision Village on Wednesday (May 10) and follows the successful delivery of the Liverpool leg of the National Lottery’s United By Music Tour, which sees artists such as Lightning Seeds, The Coral and Miles Kane playing local venues in support of the live music sector.Starting in mid-June, the United by Music Tour will see both established and up-and-coming artists performing in over 130 locations across the country.
