Stephen Bear posed for selfies and sang to a journalist outside court as he arrived to be sentenced for revenge porn charges. The 33-year-old, known for winning Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, was found guilty of non-consensually sharing a sex video of himself and ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison after a trial in December. On Friday, he was sentenced to 21 months in jail.
Georgia waived her anonymity during the trial and as Stephen arrived at Chelmsford Crown Court for sentencing, he was asked by reporters whether he had anything to say to his former partner. After refusing to answer one journalist’s questions, he broke into a rendition of Chris De Burgh's song The Lady in Red. He also posed for a selfie with a young woman on the road outside the court building.
At the trial in December, Stephen denied the charges of two counts of revenge porn and one count of voyeurism. But he was convicted of voyeurism on a majority vote of 10 out of 12 jurors, and unanimously on the two counts of revenge porn after more than eight hours of jury deliberations. The Ex on the Beach star had captured himself and Georgia, 28, engaging in sexual activity in his garden with a CCTV camera. Georgie was unaware that she was being filmed at the time, and later, when she learned of its existence, she begged Bear not to share the footage.
But he did share it, via WhatsApp, and made money off it by uploading it to the subscription service OnlyFans, where he earned £40,000 prior to his account being deleted. After the verdict was announced, Georgia read a statement speaking on the "absolute hell" she's been through over the incident. "The only way to describe how I am feeling now is relieved," she said.
