The search is on to find Manchester's most 'outstanding' community champions.
The Outstanding Social Behaviour Awards - known as the OSBAs - is being held tomorrow (May 31). The awards are organised by the south Manchester-based peace campaign group CARISMA to recognise unsung heroes who work to create better, more peaceful and harmonious communities.
The OSBAs - the name of which is a play on the acronym ASBO - consist of six categories that highlight various aspects of exceptional social contributions:

Young People: Acknowledging the remarkable efforts and achievements of young individuals who have positively influenced their peers and communities.
Manchester Peace: Recognizing individuals who have dedicated their efforts to promoting peace and harmony within the city of Manchester.
Peace Activist: Honouring those who have shown unwavering commitment to advocating for peace on a broader scale, making a difference in the world.
Positive Role Model: Celebrating individuals who inspire others through their positive actions, embodying values of kindness, respect, and inclusivity.
Cohesion/Diversity: Recognizing those who have actively worked towards building bridges and fostering inclusivity among diverse groups within the community.
Turnaround: Commending individuals who have overcome personal challenges and transformed their lives, inspiring others to do the same.
The winners will be chosen by a panel of community leaders and announced at an award ceremony held tomorrow evening.
