After the announcement that Kim Cattrall is making a brief cameo in And Just Like That, we’re looking back at an interview star Sarah Jessica Parker gave where she spoke, at length, about what happened between her and Kim.
She noted that everything went downhill in 2017, when a third Sex and the City movie was being negotiated with the four leading ladies: her, Kim, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis.
This interview was originally conducted in June 2022, but is very relevant today, considering Kim‘s cameo in AJLT season 2.

Sarah Jessica Parker has made what appears to be her first public comments about Kim Cattrall’s surprise And Just Like That… cameo amid an ongoing feud between the Sex and the City stars.
“And Just Like That… Writer’s Room” podcast this week that she was asked to read for Parker’s character as they weren’t sure if the actress would end up doing it.“I was like, ‘That is adorable, but I can’t play that part!'” Davis said during the podcast. “Like, ‘Whatcha thinking?’ I mean, hello!”She explained that Parker’s character, Carrie, was described as having “the body of Heather Locklear and the mind of Dorothy Parker.”Davis admitted that she “understood” the character of Charlotte much more than she did Carrie.
