This time, her caption was more than just an emoji.“I feel blessed to have a photo of the last time I saw my beautiful mama,” she wrote. To say that Keough's family is painfully familiar with grief would be an understatement. In 2020, Presley's son Benjamin died by suicide. At Lisa Marie's memorial, Keough's husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, delivered a tribute to Presley on behalf of his wife while she sat in the front row. During the speech, which Keough had written, it was revealed that the couple privately.
“I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters. Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity,” Keough wrote. Lisa Marie Presley was laid to rest in Graceland beside her son Benjamin.
