Richard Madeley has admitted that he almost accidentally revealed his daughter Chloe’s exciting pregnancy weeks before she and her husband James Haskell shared it themselves. Chloe, 34, and James, 36, announced on social media yesterday that they’re expecting their first child together.
The soon-to-be mum shared a series of snaps on Instagram, including one of her with her TV presenter mother Judy Finnigan who was holding up a baby scan photo while Chloe showed off an adorable pink onesie. James was also a guest on yesterday’s Good Morning Britain where he shared the news that they're expecting a little girl.
The soon-to-be father gushed: “Chloe and I are so excited to announce we are expecting our first child! "From the moment I saw her and heard her little heartbeat I fell in love! Let's hope she looks like her Mum." James added: "I've seen Richard with his other grandson Kit and he's the best grandfather in the world so I'm very, very happy." A day on from their announcement, doting grandfather Richard, 65, admitted that he nearly ruined the surprise earlier on in Chloe’s pregnancy.Thanking fans for their congratulations, Richard said on today’s Good Morning Britain: “Before we go on, can I just say a huge thank you to all of you who sent such really lovely messages yesterday, after we announced the impending birth of my… fifth, fourth is it? “James Haskell, Chloe’s husband was here and he announced it. You all flooded in with just lovely comments,” he went on.
