Arsenal legend Ian Wright feels Manchester City's weekend display is an ominous sign for the Gunners ahead of Wednesday night's critical Premier League meeting.
City were 3-1 winners over Aston Villa on Sunday with a super display that moved them to within three points of Mikel Arteta's side. A win at the Emirates would send Pep Guardiola's side top of the table and former striker Wright was impressed by City's showing.
And while he expects Arsenal to be ready for the challenge, Wright feels City displayed all their qualities at the Etihad against Villa as they bounced back from a defeat to Tottenham last time out.

"They were very much improved and it was like the working parts are all functioning well again," said Wright, speaking on Match of the Day 2. "They had their hunger, drive and quality and it was all back today.
"There was a speed and a verve about their passing. The closing down, that is what they are all about with the pressure and winning the ball back.
"For me it is quite frightening, because we have them on Wednesday and it is ominous because they look like they are back. They were more energised, they were quicker and sharper and seem like they have it back in their heads where they need to be.
"Arsenal need to win, they need to win their home games but City know if they win they can go top and you hear Pep say it is still early, and it is, but they know this terrain now and what they need to be doing. I think Arsenal will be ready for them and it will be a different game."
