Paul Mescal has been nominated for Best Actor for playing a Scots dad in the film Aftersun. The Irishman is up against the likes of Austin Butler and Colin Farrell.
Aftersun is a 2022 drama written and directed by Charlotte Wells, set in the early 2000s, and is about an 11-year-old Scottish girl called Sophie, played by Frankie Corio.
