Singles-wise this week, two music moguls arrive with big new releases.
Ed Sheeran issues the second cut, Boat, from his forthcoming album - (Subtract) and the new, emotional ballad has a lot to live up to, coming on the heels of the recent Number 1 single Eyes Closed.
Hot off the press after announcing that her third album, You & I, will be dropping this July, Rita Ora's big summer single Praising You is here and as we've come to expect, it slaps. It comes with a feature from Fatboy Slim (the track itself samples the iconic DJ's influential 1998 smash, Praise You) and a very camp music video that sees Rita in full pop star mode, directed by none other than her husband, Taika Waititi.
Another big 90s dance classic is re-born thanks to Unholy star Kim Petras and rap queen Nicki Minaj. Alone - which is set to be the lead single from Kim's major label debut album - contains a massive sample of Alice Deejay's Better Off Alone, and looks set to make good on the promise of Kim finally ascending to the upper echelons of pop.
As for albums, Dutch dance god Tiesto's latest LP, Drive, finally arrives - containing the UK Top 20 singles The Motto (with Ava Max) and 10:35 (with Tate McRae), and also features new songs with vocals from the likes of Freya Ridings and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
BTS member Suga is another new album release, this time issued D-Day under the pseudonym Agust D, while we have further new records dropping from joan (the electic superglue - read our interview with the boys here), ALMA (Time Machine) and the very welcome return of Everything But The Girl (Fuse).
