Bailey Bass will not return as Claudia for AMC’s Interview With A Vampire series.

AMC Networks’ Interview With the Vampire is undergoing a big casting change. Bailey Bass, who played the series’ female lead, teenage vampire Claudia in Season 1, will not continue on the adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel. She is being replaced by Delainey Hayles, who is taking on the role for Season 2, which starts production next week in Prague and will also shoot in Paris and New Orleans.

Bailey Bass won’t be continuing in the role of Claudia for Season 2 of AMC’s “Interview With a Vampire,” the network announced late Friday. “Bailey Bass is a talented actor who did a remarkable job bringing the character of Claudia to life in Anne Rice’s ‘Interview With the Vampire.’ For a variety of reasons, Delainey Hayles will appear as Claudia in season two.

Brent Lang Executive Editor Arianna Bocco has stepped down as president of IFC Films. She will be replaced on an interim basis by Scott Shooman, who currently serves as head of acquisitions. Bocco left the company on Thursday. IFC, which is owned by AMC Networks, will conduct a search for a permanent replacement for Bocco, a longtime executive at the company and a major force in the world of independent film, respected for her keen taste and strong relationships with top talent. Bocco took the reins at IFC in 2020 after her predecessor Lisa Schwartz stepped down. Universal Television is developing a series adaptation of Diane Marie Brown’s debut novel Black Candle Women with Jenna Bush Hager, who has a first-look deal with Universal Studio Group, under her production banner Thousand Voices.
