Matt Damon is weighing in on fans pitting his movie Oppenheimer against Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling‘s Barbie.
Both highly anticipated movies are hitting theaters on the same day – July 21. The shared release date has led to some animosity between fans.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Matt made it clear that there was space for both movie to shine at the box office.
“This is the first I’m hearing about it, actually. I haven’t paid any attention to that,” he admitted. “People are allowed to go see two movies in a weekend. Oppenheimer is one of them!”
Matt appears in Oppenheimer alongside the likes of Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Robert Downey Jr. It’s a thriller, which is shaping up to be dramatically different from Barbie.
Barbie also features a star-studded cast, and we recently got character posters that went extremely viral.
