Love Island star Callum MacLeod engaged as he shares romantic sunrise proposal

Former Love Island star Callum MacLeod has announced his engagement to partner Jade Olivia by sharing an adorable video of his proposal via Instagram.The 32 year old appeared to take his now-fiancé by surprise after she thought he was simply setting his camera up to take a photo of them in front of a gorgeous sunrise. However, after running back to his love, Callum reached into his jacket and pulled out a ring.

A shocked Jade couldn't believe it and could be seen covering her mouth before Callum picked her up for a cuddle. After placing the ring on her finger, the former Islander, clearly over the moon, ran towards his camera and jumped in the air to celebrate.

He captioned the post: "WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!! "Last weeks sunrise was a special one… 08.10.22." After uploading the video on Saturday (15 October), the couple have been met with waves of messages congratulating them. Among the well-wishers was fellow former Islander Amy Day, who wrote: "Massive congrats to you guys [two red love hearts]." Season seven Islander, Rachel Finni commented: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh congratulations you beautiful beautiful couple." And TOWIE's Elma Pazar also sent her congratulations, writing: "Awwwww love this! Congratulations!!!" It comes three years after Callum appeared on the ITV reality show in 2019 – where he was unfortunately dumped after just five days after eventual winner Amber Gill coupled up with Anton Danyluk.

In an incredibly open interview, Callum later admitted that he had cried after leaving the show and how he quit his dream job to appear on Love Island. Speaking to This Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield he spoke about his previous career in aviation.
