Love Island's Lana's mum issues stern warning to Ron ahead of meet-the-parents episode

Love Island star Lana Jenkins' mum has issued a stern warning to Lana's beau Ron Hall, ahead of meeting him face-to-face in the Love Island villa.The meet-the-parents episode is one of Love Islands most iconic parts, as the Islanders near the final, and their parents, families and friends enter the villa to meet their partners. The Islanders' loved-ones have flown out all the way to South Africa, which is where the winter season is filmed, rather than Majorca, where the show is filmed in summer. Lana's mum Rachel, 50, a script advisor on Hollyoaks, will be seeing her daughter in the flesh for the first time in eight weeks, whilst she will also get the opportunity to meet Ron, 25.
Lana and Ron endured some rocky times in their relationship at the beginning, but they have since went on to become boyfriend and girlfriend. Revealing the warning she has in store for Ron, she told The Mirror: "I’m going to tell him to look after my daughter. Every mum wants their daughter to be treated like a princess.
If Ron adores her like her family does, then that’s good for me.” Sparks flew between Ron and Lana at the start of the show, before Lana was left upset numerous times as Ron wanted to keep his options open and explore connections with other girls in the villa. Exasperated, Lana went on to couple up with newcomer Casey O'Gorman, before she and Ron eventually got back together. Lana's mum has spoken about the difficulties of seeing her daughter - with whom she is very close - on TV and not being able to console her.
