Eagle-eyed Love Island viewers are certain they have spotted a clue that Kai Fagan's parents were less than impressed with his ex in the villa, Olivia Hawkins. The primary school teacher, 24, was left close to tears as the parents and pals of the Love Island finalists entered the villa on Sunday, one day before the highly anticipated final. As he talked to his parents, his mum Jill made it clear that they'd always been on his side throughout the past eight weeks, and said they were proud of everything he'd done, before telling their son how happy they were that she ended up with Sanam.
Before his romance with Sanam, Kai enjoyed a brief romance with Olivia as they got to know each other. However, his head was quickly turned as he shared an instant connection with Sanam, who was one of the bombshells in Casa Amor.
As Olivia got back to the main villa arm in arm with bombshell Maxwell, she soon demanded an apology from Kai, which he refused to give her, much to her dismay. As Kai's mum Jill came to visit Kai and meet Sanam in the villa in Sunday's episode, she told the son how proud she was of him.
She also made it clear that she felt her son had nothing to apologise for, and stood by Kai when he refused to offer an apology to Olivia after being asked by host Maya Jama once again if he felt as though he owed her one. Fans were quick to share their thoughts about Jill on Twitter, saying her comment made it seem like she did not like Olivia.
One person said: "The real Kai came out when Sanam showed up. Yeah Kai's mum did NOT like Olivia lol." "Kai’s mum definitely wasn’t an Olivia fan," another tweeted while a third added: "I bet Kai's mam is so happy he's bringing home Shanam." A fourth person wrote: "I love Kai’s parents
