Linda and Elaine's enormous clash over Queen Vic's drastic changes in EastEnders

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) thought that all of her Christmases had come at once when mum Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) agreed to buy into the Queen Vic in EastEnders, but it will soon turn out to be less harmonious than she had anticipated. When Linda revealed that she was going to have to sell up, she was bombarded by offers to buy the iconic boozer. Best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was eager to buy in, as were the business-minded Panesars.
However, Linda has held out for an offer from her closest family member, and the fall out of her decision is set to be far-reaching. An argument with Sharon over the topic is interrupted by the arrival of mum Elaine, who wastes no time in getting her feet well and truly under the table. When Elaine begins offering the men of Walford free drinks, Linda can see that she has trouble on her hands.
