Laura Whitmore has been burning bridges all over ITV as she leaves her job as presenter of Love Island, slamming producers on her way out the door.Last week, she claimed she wasn’t allowed to check in on the wellbeing of contestants on the dating show or speak up if she thought something was wrong. It’s left viewers calling the star “bitter” and wondering if she’s about to get her husband Iain Stirling – who does the voiceover – kicked out, too.“I hate having anything I’m not allowed to say. I couldn’t ask Love Islanders if they were OK,” said Laura, 37, who was brought in to host the reality series in 2020, to replace original host Caroline Flack, who was suspended in 2019, and then tragically died the following February.“It is hard.
Laura Whitmore claimed she was unable to check up on Love Island contestants during the series. Laura told the publication: “I hate having anything I'm not allowed to say.
The greatest strength of Ti West’s “X,” the very A24 vibes ‘n all sex-slasher which premiered to tepid acclaim at South By Southwest earlier this year, was never its reverence for “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” nor its lurid ‘70s grit and grain, nor its abundance of pornstaches. No, no: a double-dipping Mia Goth was the lynchpin, be it caked in prosthetics as the melting, murderous octogenarian Pearl or starlet-in-the-making (with an aptly porn-y name) Max Minx.
Laura Whitmore appeared to have taken a swipe at Love Island while hinting at the real reason why she exited the show. The Irish TV presenter, 37, surprised viewers when she announced that she was stepping down after taking on the role when then-host Caroline Flack stepped down in late 2019. Following Caroline's shock death, Laura remained host of the programme and its spin-off show After Sun until standing down last month. And it seems she has now revealed her true reasons for leaving her presenting role on the dating series.
