Kyle Walker wants to see out the final year of his contract at Manchester City - according to reports - and the way things are going, you cannot envisage there being much pushback on that.
The City defender is hitting top form again at the crunch stage of the season, with City looking to seal the treble and make it a magical campaign.
The Premier League is already wrapped up - the fifth under Pep Guardiola and third on the bounce. Next up is the FA Cup against Manchester United in early June, before the mammoth Champions League final vs Inter. Walker was brought in by Guardiola after his first year in England - one of the early crew, on the pursuit of greatness, determined to get there in City colours.

There have been links to European heavyweights, but Walker appears set on staying at the Etihad Stadium at least until his deal is up in the summer of 2024. After missing City's entire Champions League group campaign, Walker played the 90 minutes away to Leipzig and then returned for both semi-finals against Real Madrid, an indication of the trust Guardiola still has in his engine of a right-back to deliver on the biggest stages.
His performances against Vinicius Jr - particularly in the home leg - saw Walker display the incredible defensive qualities he still has to offer. The Brazilian superstar was nullified in emphatic fashion by City's full-back, whose lightning speed and athleticism are enough to intimidate the very best in the business.
