While the world has been freaking out about Kim Cattrall‘s truly surprising return to the Sex and the City universe, her cast mates have been speaking out — and not everyone is so thrilled. Or, at least, they don’t love the circumstances…

The cat is out of the bag—Kim Cattrall will briefly return as Samantha Jones in Season 2 of Max’s And Just Like That… and the appearance was meant to be a big surprise, according to stars and executive producers Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael Patrick King, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who told Deadline they’re very disappointed it was leaked. But now that everybody knows, they also want to temper expectations because the cameo is small but meaningful.

Kim Cattrall will finally return as Samantha Jones on season 2 of And Just Like That, but her fellow Sex and the City costars have hinted that her cameo isn’t necessarily a sign of a more to come.
