Matt Ruskin: Aside from being really interested in the Boston Strangler story and all of these untold aspects of it I was really compelled by Loretta McLaughlin, who’s at the heart of the story. It felt like the underdog story of this reporter who wanted to do much more meaningful reporting [and] who was sidelined because it was a very male dominated environment.
