John Stamos is opening up about his current relationship with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
A few years ago, the 59-year-old actor said that he was “disappointed” that the 36-year-old fashion designers decided not to return for Netflix’s Full House spinoff, Fuller House, when all of the original stars did come back.
Following their decision not to return, John had a falling out with Mary-Kate and Ashley.
In a new interview, John admitted that he was briefly “angry” that they didn’t come back, and also revealed where he stands with them now.

“We hadn’t really seen ’em much, I mean we stayed in touch with them a little bit, but Bob [Saget] really did, and they were so great,” John shared on the And That’s What You Really Missed podcast. “And they said all the things, probably what you guys got to hear, ‘We loved it.’”
John also addressed the rumors he had heard that Mary-Kate and Ashley didn’t enjoy growing up in the spotlight.
“‘Cause you hear rumors, you’d see, oh, they hated their childhood or they hated being on the show, or whatever. And we’re just like, ‘Ok,’” John recalled. “And when I did Fuller House, they didn’t wanna come back, and I was angry for a minute and that got out.”
However, John has since reconnected and reconciled with Mary-Kate and Ashley and they’re all in a much better place now.
“But, they’re just like, ‘We loved you guys, we loved our childhood, we loved being with you,’” John shared. “They came over to my house and they brought a porkchop and sage. I don’t know why, but thank you.”
In another recent interview, John shared how he briefly got the Olsen twins fired from Full House after one of their first days of filming.
