Katie Reul editor Woody Harrelson is under fire for referencing his controversial stance on vaccination and the COVID-19 pandemic in his opening monologue of the Feb. 25 episode of “Saturday Night Live.” The actor, who took to the stage for his fifth time as “SNL” host, proceeded to ramble off a story that all hinged around the “craziest script” he’s ever read. After several minutes of getting distracted talking about smoking weed, drinking and what kind of tree he was sitting under, the actor describes the aforementioned script. “So the movie goes like this,” Harrelson explains. “The biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in their homes. And people can only come out if they take the cartel’s drugs and keep taking them over and over.”

The 1975 will appear as the musical guests for an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live next month. The band are set to perform on the sketch comedy show on March 11, with actress and Wednesday star Jenna Ortega serving as the host. It will mark The 1975’s second appearance on the show, having performed their songs ‘The Sound’ and ‘Love Me’ – from ‘I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It’ – during an episode in 2016.

A week later followed by breakout “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega on March 11. But first up, as previously announced, Woody Harrelson will return to the “Saturday Night Live” stage to host for a fifth time on Feb. 25. He leads the next batch of hosts as “SNL” returns at the end of the month for three consecutive weeks. Musical guests for those nights include Jack White (Feb. 25), Kelsea Ballerini (March 4) and The 1975 (March 11). Harrelson will host while promoting the new film “Champions,” in theaters March 10. In the film, from Bobby Farrelly, Harrelson plays a minor-league basketball coach who gets fired and then winds up in legal trouble. As part of a community service requirement, he coaches a Special Olympics basketball team.

From Super Bowl winners to the cast of The Addams Family, Saturday Night Live is returning with three more back-to-back shows.

Rihanna’s lauded Super Bowl halftime show.The Chiefs wound up winning the big game – beating the Philadelphia Eagles by just three points (with a total of 38 against the Eagles’ 35) – while Rihanna’s short set drew in 118.7million viewers, making it the second most-watched halftime show in Super Bowl history (Katy Perry’s 2015 appearance topped 121million).But in the pursuit of keeping their eyes on the prize, Mahomes told Jimmy Kimmel, the Chiefs weren’t allowed to watch the pop star slay hits like ‘Rude Boy’ and ‘Umbrella’. “I heard [the show] was great,” the quarterback said during his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, “but coach [Andy] Reid told us, he said, ‘If you go out to watch the performance, just keep walking, because you’re not playing the rest of the game.’”Kimmel then referenced the news that Rihanna is pregnant – a revelation made apparent during her Super Bowl performance – suggesting that she should name the child after Mahomes.
