Dancing On Ice viewers saw Joey Essex try to kiss his pro skating partner Vanessa Bauer at the end of their High School Musical routine this weekend. And after Vanessa pulled away on live TV, our columnist Jake Quickenden - who was partnered up with Vanessa in 2018 - says "people have read too much into it" and says it's obvious how much Joey, 32, and Vanessa, 26, like each other. The 34 year old hit back at the comments online, revealing the moment between them was "playful" and he believes that Vanessa didn't pull away from the kiss as a rejection.
Jake also gave his thoughts on who stood out to him the most this week, confessing that he thinks Carley Stenson, 40, and her partner Mark Hanretty, 37, have the best lines in the competition so far. In his exclusive OK! column, Jake gives his take on Mollie Gallagher, 25, being at risk of going home and why he was surprised Siva Kaneswaran, 34, was in the bottom two... They're a tight-knit bunch It was really nice being in the audience watching it live.
It was good getting the gist of what everyone thought, seeing the skaters up close and personal, and hearing the crowd’s reaction to the judges. The atmosphere was exciting. Obviously, everyone is there to support their own people, but it was a really supportive environment. You could tell they are a tight-knit bunch even though they are competing against each other.
It’s nice to see. The crowd really let the judges have it when they don’t agree. I let the judges have it a bit as well! Nile and Mollie were undermarked People were shocked last night with the results, which made it interesting because nobody is dead certain to win it yet. There are probably four or five of them up there with a good chance.
