This Morning fans have been issuing a demand to bosses after it was revealed that Alison Hammond is being replaced as Holly Willoughby's co-host. The ITV daytime show's usual Friday host stepped in on Monday and Tuesday this week in place of Phillip Schofield who is taking the week off.
Opening their first show together on Monday (March 27), Holly, 42, said: "Hello, good morning and welcome to Monday's This Morning." Holly kicked off the show as Alison, 48, held onto her hand before celebrating their hosting collab. Confirming Phillip's length of absence, but not the reason why, she went on: "Phillip is taking the week off so all the adults have left the building... Alison's come to play," Holly said with a squeal. "It's so good to be here," Alison responded.
"It's nice actually, to start the week off," the former Big Brother star added as Holly asked if it was good to be on the show on a Monday. "And you're here," she added to Holly who replied: "It's lovely to have you here."

And after two fun-filled, and often chaotic, days together, Alison has had to step back from hosting duties until Friday (March 31) and has been replaced by another familiar face. Holly will be joined on Thursday and Friday's shows by Joel Dommett. It was revealed that the comedian and presenter will be making his hosting debut on the show in a social media post.
Alongside a mocked-up picture of the pair, This Morning revealed: "Join @hollywills and guest presenter @joeldommett, this Wednesday and Thursday on #ThisMorning!"
