ITV has broken silence on Phillip Schofield's future on Dancing on Ice after his dramatic exit from This Morning.
The 61-year-old quit the daytime show on Saturday, May 20, with 'immediate effect' following two decades on the show.
And whilst the drama surrounding This Morning has hit headlines, it has not been confirmed if Phillip will continue presenting Dancing On Ice with Holly Willoughby reports Manchester Evening News.
An ITV spokesperson has now told the Metro: "Dancing On Ice isn’t due on ITV until January 2024 and the series is not currently in production."
They added they will make 'further announcements' about the show, including the presenting line-up, in 'due course,' according to the publication.
Following his exit from the show- which he co-hosted with Holly Willoughby- the presenter said in a statement that the programme had 'become the story' and that he wanted to "do what I can to protect the show that I love".
It comes after rampant rumours that he and Holly were 'barely speaking' behind the scenes amid a 'feud' between the pair.
He added: "I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – especially This Morning’s amazing viewers – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month."
In response, Holly, 42 issued a statement which she shared on Instagram, she wrote: "It’s been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won’t feel the same without him."
The mum-of-three was absent from the programme following Saturday's news, deciding to take an extra week
