Squid Game has officially found its cast for Season 2!

Emily Blunt just added another string to her bow. From Queen Victoria to Mary Poppins, to a cutthroat Vogue assistant in The Devil Wears Prada, a gun-toting alien killer in A Quiet Place and a straight-up action hero in Edge of Tomorrow, one thing Blunt had never done was a Western. But her role in Hugo Blick’s The English is no damsel in distress: Cornelia Locke is a woman dead set on revenge, with the bow and arrow to prove it. Teamed up with Chaske Spencer as Eli Whipp, a Pawnee warrior, Blunt brings a complex, real woman to the Wild West.

Naman Ramachandran Stage, television and film star Anjana Vasan’s latest role is the lead in the “Demon 79” episode in Season 6 of Charlie Brooker’s hit Netflix series “Black Mirror.” Set in northern England, 1979, Vasan plays a meek sales assistant who is told she must commit terrible acts to prevent disaster in the episode written by Brooker and Bisha K. Ali (“Ms. Marvel”) and directed by Toby Haynes (“Andor”). Paapa Essiedu (“Gangs of London”) has a pivotal role in the episode. “Every episode of ‘Black Mirror’ is different but this one felt just distinctly like trying to do something different,” Vasan told Variety. “And when I read it, I was genuinely surprised. I didn’t know where the story was going to go. And I thought the dynamic between Paapa’s character and myself was so interesting and so surprising. I just wanted to be a part of that world, I wanted to go into 1979 and just explore her journey.”

In a statement, the unions said that such a contract would benefit “every worker” in the industry. “A fair contract for directors does not benefit just a select few; it uplifts every worker in the film and television industry and acknowledges the interconnected nature of our work,” said the statement issued by the WGA, SAG-AFTRA, IATSE and the Hollywood Basic Crafts. “We call on the AMPTP to immediately negotiate a fair agreement that addresses the Directors Guild of America’s unique priorities in good faith.”

And dad-of-four Colin, who was born in Hackney, East London, said he needs to work in the capital because his wife of 35 years, artist Fiona Hawthorne, has a lung disease.
