The friend of a 'kind' and 'generous' 19-year-old who was tragically found dead in Tameside last month has paid heartfelt tribute to him after he has been named locally as Tobias Mannering.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, friend Tia Mellor said Tobias was 'such a caring person' who 'would do anything for anyone' and 'had so much life to live'.
"If he had a pound he'd give you 50p of it. He really cared, he would do anything for you. He was so open about everything, and it's just so sad," she said.

"He was such a generous person. He used to come to my house and helped me clean and helped me with my son and helped us make food and do our washing," she said. "He touched a lot of lives, he really was such a caring person."
Tia told the M.E.N that Tobias had an interest in floristry, and had previously enrolled on a college course to pursue his ambitions. She said they were extremely close, and used to spend time together 'every day'.
"He had a hard life, he had a lot going on, but he was really trying," she added.
Tributes have also poured in for the 19-year-old on social media. One friend said he had 'the kindest soul' and 'was taken too soon'.
Another said: "He was beautiful inside and out, he had such a kind heart and soul and was too good for earth! This is not how your story should have ended Tobias, I will never forget you nor will I let your death be in vain! Rest in peace sweetheart."
Tobias was found dead after emergency services were called to Portland Basin on Lower Alma Street, Dukinfield on at around 5:30pm on Tuesday February 21 following a report for concern for welfare for a man.
