Scream VI and Wednesday, has revealed the music she’s had on repeat during her meteoric rise to fame.“I listen to a lot of ‘Discovery’ by Daft Punk or ‘Homework’ by Daft Punk. [Those two albums] have been heavy on my playlist recently,” Ortega told NME.  “I don’t know why. The latest “Scream” also set a new record in North America with its $44.5 million debut, bringing its global tally to $67 million. “Scream VI” established new high-watermarks for the long-running series in 29 international territories, including the United Kingdom ($3.6 million), France ($2.5 million), Australia ($2 million), Mexico ($2 million) and Brazil ($1.8 million).

Those ticket sales were enough to top domestic box office charts over two newcomers, Sony’s prehistoric sci-fi thriller “65” and the Focus Features heartwarming comedy “Champions,” as well as last weekend’s victor “Creed III.” The initial haul for “Scream VI” is frighteningly strong for the sixth installment in a franchise. Katie Reul editor Quinta Brunson, the Emmy award-winning creator and star of “Abbott Elementary,” will transition from a classroom to a live studio audience with her hosting debut on “Saturday Night Live” on April 1. Lil Yachty has been named as the episode’s musical guest. Brunson’s first appearance on the show could coincide with the a potential strike set by the show’s post-production editors. The strike comes after calls for NBCUniversal to pay editors industry standard rates and provide appropriate health benefits. The editing crew organized with the Motion Picture Editors Guild, which is part of IATSE Local 700, in order to negotiate a contract with NBCUniversal in October of last year. An agreement has yet to be reached. Now, the post-production team of “SNL” has set a deadline of April 1 for an agreement to be reached, at which point they will boycott working on the show.
