West Lothian residents are being urged to take note of changes to bin collections over the festive period.
Brown bin collections will be suspended from Sunday, December 25 until Sunday, January 8.
Brown bins are used less during the winter months, so suspending collections will allow resources to be prioritised on other collections.
There will be no grey, blue or green bin collections on Mondays and Tuesdays, 26 and 27 December and 2 and 3 January, due to the public holidays.
Residents whose collections are due on these days should put them out the following Wednesday instead, so either December 28 or January 4 and leave them out until they are emptied.
All bins should be by the kerbside by 7am on collection day and they should be left out until they are emptied.
Recycling centres will be open as usual, except for Sunday and Monday, 25 and 26 December and 1 and 2 January when they will be closed.
For more details, please visit https://www.westlothian.gov.uk/local-recycling-centres.
No bookings for bulky uplifts will be accepted between 19 December and 9 January to focus on wheeled bin collections.
To check your collections dates or sign up for useful email reminders, please visit https://www.westlothian.gov.uk/bins.
Please check https://www.westlothian.gov.uk/bin-collection-updates for updates if there are any further disruptions.
