The family of a missing Scots man have issued a heart-wrenching plea for him to come home a month after he disappeared. Officers are re-appealing for information to help find Andrew Linton who vanished from Kilwinning.
Andrew, 43, was last seen in the Corsehill area around 5.35am on Wednesday, 22 February, 2023. It’s thought he may have entered Eglinton Country Park, however there have been no confirmed sightings of him.
Searches of the area remain ongoing with the help of specialist and local resources. In a heartbreaking plea for help, Andrew's wife Alison begged for beloved husband to return home, saying "you are my life".
In a statement, she said: “This is totally out of character for Andrew to worry his family like this. All family and friends are worried sick, we love and miss Andrew and just want him home and to be safe. Please come home Andrew I love you and need you home you are my life.”
Andrew is described as white, around 5ft 6in tall, of stocky build, and speaks with a local Ayrshire accent. He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, a light-coloured beanie hat, dark blue cargo trousers and black boots. It is believed he may be wearing a grey hooded jumper and carrying a red and grey ‘Karrimor’ rucksack with laces crisscrossed the front of the bag.
Inspector David Cameron said: “It’s been four weeks to the day since Andrew was last seen. He’s not been in contact with family or friends and we’ve had no confirmed sightings of him.
