Every actor who nearly played Only Fools and Horses' Del Boy including EastEnders and Harry Potter stars

BBC sitcom will know, Sir David, now 83 years old, wasn't the first choice to play the part of the cockney hooky dealer from Peckham. In fact, he wasn't the second or third favourite to take on the role - but thankfully Del Boy eventually landed in the hands of Jason. It's been nearly 20 years since the last ever Only Fools episode broadcast on BBC One, ending the actor's stint on the show, but Del Boy is still widely considered one of the greatest comedy characters in the history of television.

Barbara Palvin Short To Play Taormina; Daniel Kaluuya Partners With Roundhouse; BFI Distribution Acquires Cannes Title; Alan Cumming Celebrated At RTS Scotland

Eva Vik’s ‘Serpentine’ Starring Barbara Palvin To Make European Premiere at TaorminaEva Vik’s short film Serpentine, starring supermodel Barbara Palvin, will make its European premiere at the 69th edition of Italy’s Taormina Film Festival, running from June 23 to July 1. Czech writer and director Eva Vik explores the possibilities of interspecies development in the film, which was previously nominated for the X Award at the Tribeca Film Festival. Set within a mysterious snake cult, the stylistic body-horror follows attempts to initiate a snake-human hybrid through genetic engineering – creating an extraterrestrial higher power intelligence as a new influential force. Palvin is joined in the cast by Soo Joo Park, and Luke Brandon Field. The film’s official partner is Bulgari brand, and it was produced by Evasion Pictures. The film will play in Taormina’s Influential Shorts program, a special gala event curated by Bella Thorne. “I look forward to welcoming both Eva Vik and Barbara Palvin to the Taormina Film Festival later this month. The short is thought-provoking and we are excited to be presenting it as part of our Influential Shorts evening,” said festival co-Artistic Director Barrett Wissman.

In the 12 years since the couple married, they have become the most popular members of the Royal Family who advocate for key causes such as mental health, homelessness and early childhood. The relatable way the pair behave in public continues to win them fans - and it appears that this normalcy extends into their life away from the cameras with their three children.

Rolf Harris obituary

arrested during Scotland Yard’s sex crime investigation Operation Yewtree, he was made an officer of the Order of Australia. “I arrived in the UK on a boat in 1952 at the age of 22, with nothing but a load of self confidence,” he wrote in his 2001 autobiography, Can You Tell What It Is Yet?“As a musician, singer and songwriter, I have had No 1 hits and taken pop festivals by storm; as a television presenter, I have been awarded the MBE and voted TV personality of the year; and as an artist I have had pictures exhibited by the Royal Academy. People who are now parents and grandparents grew up watching me on TV singing Jake the Peg, doing vast drawings with a fat felt-tip pen, blowing the didgeridoo and wobbling a piece of hardboard.
