Former Inter Milan and Brazil defender Miranda has admitted he would have liked to have played for Manchester United during his professional career.
Miranda made nearly 600 appearances in his career before announcing his retirement from football in January of this year - playing for the likes of Inter, Atletico Madrid and Sao Paulo. The Brazilian defender won five trophies with Atletico during his time in Spain, while also winning the Copa America in 2019.
The centre-back was often linked with a move to the Premier League during his time in Milan and Madrid, but a move never materialised. Now, Miranda has admitted that he would have enjoyed playing for United, before claiming that he was surprised by an offer from the club in 2015.

During a Q&A with ESPN Brasil, the 38-year-old - who last played for Sao Paulo - was quizzed on which club he would have liked to have signed for during his career.
"Manchester United," he quickly replied.
Miranda went on to reveal that the Reds made an offer to sign him in 2015, when United were managed by Louis van Gaal. However, the Brazilian defender was not keen on the move. He was part of one of Atletico's most famous sides under boss Diego Simeone, and he claimed it was hard to leave the Spanish outfit.
"A lot of clubs tried to sign us, but we had that group like a family," he said. "When you have a team like a family, like Simeone and the players created, it's hard to leave. like we were brothers, it was hard to separate."
