Police cordoned off a street in north Manchester on Thursday evening (June 1) amid reports of a shooting. Crime Scene Investigation and TAU officers were stationed beside police tape on Monsall Street, in Monsall following the incident.
Forensics could be seen carrying out fingertip searches of the scene with evidence markers placed within the cordon, including beside what appeared to be a bullet casing on the ground.
There are unconfirmed reports of a shooting at some time on Thursday afternoon. Witnesses reported the confrontation involved a car and motorbike, however Greater Manchester Police are yet to provide any details on the incident.

Pictures from the scene show an extensive cordon in place along Monsall Street which is understood to have stretched from Jocelyn Street to the corner of Sedgeford Road, beside the Queen's Pub.
TAU vans as well as around seven police vehicles remained stationed at the scene into Thursday night as officers continued with their enquiries into the incident.
And nearby, trams were cancelled as Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) announced there was an ongoing police incident near Monsall Metrolink station.
Local councillor Pat Karney said: "I am grateful for Greater Manchester Police in getting this situation under control. It's alarming that this is going on in a residential area. Residents can be reassured that the council and Greater Manchester Police will do everything to keep them safe."
